Serge Tonnar

The artist

Serge Tonnar is an independent singer-songwriter and sociocultural activist. His primary activity is composing his own songs, but he also works in theater as a musician, actor, director, and writer. He is deeply involved in Luxembourg’s sociocultural life, as a co-founder of MASKéNADA, an artists’ collective and a platform for producing alternative theater and music projects. In 2015, he founded the association “Mir wëllen ioech ons Heemecht weisen,” which promotes intercultural dialogue, particularly between refugees and residents. During the 2020 pandemic, he launched “Kulturkanal (KUK),” an online platform for artistic creations. In 2025, he co-founded “famil,” the association of musicians in Luxembourg.
